Iron Wolf
Iron Wolf premiered in issue 8 of DC Comics’ Weird Worlds in 1972. Created by Howard Chaykin who did plotting and penciling duties with scripting by Dennis O’Neil, Iron Wolf told a swashbuckling epic tale set in the 61st century. Space Pirates, Alien Vampires, fantastic, other worldly planets, a corrupted galactic empire rules by the beautiful, but deadly empress, Erika Klein-Hernandez; Iron Wolf had it all and more.
Iron Wolf and his loyal crew aboard the space ship The Limerick Rake battle the evil forces of a corrupt galactic empire. Iron Wolf forsakes his life of privilege to stand up for the common people of the empire. Branded an outlaw and hunted by the nefarious forces of the empire, Iron Wolf becomes a symbol for freedom and rocks the empire to its foundation.
Picture the epic ship to ship battles in space, exciting sword fights, daring escapes and interstellar romance. As a movie franchise, the story of Iron Wolf would give Warner Brothers their own answer to Disney’s Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean and Guardians of the Galaxy films.
